What this covers
This page covers camgocam.com — the pages you can read without signing in to anything, and the matching product you reach from them. It is written to describe what the site does now. Where something is handled by a system we do not control, it says so instead of implying otherwise.
Plain-English version up front: you do not create an account to use this, we do not keep a record of what you said on a call, and the only things deliberately stored in your browser are your 18+ confirmation and your cookie choice.
What we actually collect
Reading the site collects nothing beyond the ordinary request data any web server sees — IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the time. That is how a site works rather than a tracking decision, and it is kept for a short operational window.
We ask for no account. No email, no phone number, no profile, no photo upload to look around. There is nothing with your name on it because we never asked for your name.
If you accept optional measurement in the cookie banner, we also count aggregate visits — how many people arrived and which pages they landed on. That is described on the cookie policy page, and until you accept it, that counting runs without identifiers.
Your calls
We keep no chat history. When a match ends there is nothing to reopen — not by you, not by the other person, not by us. The next match starts from zero rather than from a file about you.
Calls are not recorded for storage. A match is a live two-person room built for real-time video, and the room holds two seats with no third to join or lurk in.
The limit worth stating plainly: we cannot control the other person's own device. Screen capture exists, it is against the rules here, and it is what the report button is for — but a rule is enforcement after the fact, not physics. Treat a live video call as private as the person on the other end decides to be.
When you report someone
Reports reach a person, and a person reviews them the same day. That is the commitment the rest of the site makes, so here is what it costs in privacy terms, because the two genuinely pull against each other:
- To review a report, a human has to be able to look at what was reported. A moderation system that can see nothing cannot act on anything.
- What gets retained for that purpose is limited to the report itself and what is needed to act on it, kept only as long as handling it requires.
- We would rather write this down than let you assume both perfect privacy and working moderation. We picked working moderation.
The 18+ confirmation
CamgoCam is for adults. Before you enter the matching product you confirm you are 18 or older, once.
That answer is stored in your browser, under the key camgocam:age-confirmed:v1 — not on an account, because there is no account. Practical consequences worth knowing:
- Clearing your site data, switching browsers, or using a private window makes it ask again. That is expected, not a bug.
- We do not ask for ID and we do not collect identity documents. It is a declaration, not a verification, and the 18+ page explains why we made that trade.
- It is essential storage — it records a legal statement, so it is not part of the optional cookie choice and cannot be switched off while still using the product.
Browser storage
These pages write exactly two things of their own:
camgocam:age-confirmed:v1— your 18+ confirmation. Essential.cgc_consent_v1— your answer to the cookie banner. Essential, and it exists so we stop asking.
Everything else — session and sign-in state if you later create one inside the app, preferences, and measurement — is written by the platform the matching product runs on. The cookie policy breaks that down by category and tells you how to clear it.
Your choices
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data, and to object to some of it. The honest position here is that for most visitors we are not holding much to act on, because we never asked for an account.
What you can do directly, right now, without contacting anyone:
- Change your cookie answer any time from the cookie policy page.
- Clear this site's data in your browser to remove both keys listed above.
- Stop mid-call, at any moment, without giving a reason.
For anything else, write to [email protected] and a person will answer. Tell us what you are asking for; we may need to ask a question back, because with no account there is often no obvious way to tie a request to a record.
Under-18s
This service is not for anyone under 18, and under-18s must not use it. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor is using the service, report it in the product or write to us — that goes to the top of the queue. Our child safety page sets out the standard and what happens when it is broken.
Changes to this page
When what the product does changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We would rather do that than leave a document describing a version of the site that no longer exists.
Anything on this page you want to ask about reaches a person at [email protected].
